East Sparks, including the Vista area, sits in the eastern part of the Truckee Meadows. The Census lists about 28,000 people in 11,000 households, with a median home built around 1987 and a median value near $457,000. About 63 percent of homes are owner-occupied. A mixed neighborhood like this one has storage needs on both sides: renters bridging leases and owners bridging closings. ## Close to the warehouse At 6.0 miles, the drive from East Sparks to 2277 Glendale Ave is short. A household can have the truck at the door at eight and the vaults stacked by afternoon. Being close also helps when you want something out. Stored goods are ready to ship with about 2 to 3 weeks notice, and a short route keeps delivery simple. ## How the vault protects a household The crew wraps furniture, packs boxes and loads wooden vaults that measure 7 ft x 7 ft x 5 ft. The vaults are closed and stacked in the 30,000 sq ft warehouse by forklift. An inventory records the contents, so a half-furnished apartment is easy to rebuild later. ## East Sparks households that store - Renters between a lease end and a move-in date - Owners selling one home before buying the next - Households downsizing from a house built in the 1980s - Households remodeling a kitchen or bathroom ## Where to start The [storage vault sizer](https://obriensmoving-storage.com/tools/storage-vault-sizer/) counts vaults, and the [free in-home estimate](https://obriensmoving-storage.com/free-estimate/) confirms them with 10 free heavy-duty boxes. For lease-length stays read [storage between homes](https://obriensmoving-storage.com/full-service-storage/storage-between-moves/); for remodels read [storage during a remodel](https://obriensmoving-storage.com/full-service-storage/storage-during-a-remodel/). Call 775-359-6683 to book. ## Packing options for a short job A stay of a few weeks still deserves careful packing. You can pack your own boxes with the 10 free heavy-duty boxes from the estimate, or have the crew pack fully, partly or only the boxes you choose. The estimator writes the plan into the itemized estimate so you see which tasks are yours and which are theirs. ## Questions to bring to the estimator Bring a short list: how many rooms are going, whether anything is fragile or heavy, how long the stay may run, and where the goods should be delivered afterward. Those four answers shape the vault count and the schedule, and they let the estimator put the estimate in writing at the visit. ### Sources (checked October 18, 2026) - [U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2020-2024 5-year estimates](https://www.census.gov/data/developers/data-sets/acs-5year.html) - [eCFR, 49 CFR Part 375, Transportation of Household Goods in Interstate Commerce](https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-49/subtitle-B/chapter-III/subchapter-B/part-375) ### Vault storage in Sparks Wooden vaults, 7 ft x 7 ft x 5 ft each, in our 30,000 sq ft warehouse.
