A senior move from Sparks starts close to where the work is done. The yard and the 30,000 sq ft warehouse are on Glendale Ave, so the crew comes from inside the city and the vaults for your furniture are minutes away. The Census counts about 42,400 households in Sparks, with a median age of 37.2. Three decades of family life leave a lot in a house: holiday boxes in the garage, a dining set that seated twelve, bookcases that no longer fit anywhere smaller. The estimator looks at each room and the garage and writes down what is moving, what is going to storage and what is staying behind for family. ## Sparks owners and the sale of the home With about 60 percent of homes owner-occupied, many Sparks senior moves are tied to a sale. Furniture that is not needed in the new place can wait while the house is listed, and a lighter house is easier to show. Read [storage while you sell your home](https://obriensmoving-storage.com/full-service-storage/storage-while-selling-a-home/) for how that works, or the [de-clutter and home-staging help](https://obriensmoving-storage.com/home-staging-and-declutter/) for help arranging rooms for a showing. ## A short trip for the vaults The crew packs your furniture and keepsakes, then closes them into wooden vaults and stacks them in the warehouse with a forklift. Because the warehouse is also in Sparks, the vaults are never far, and a family can visit the office on weekdays between 8 am and 5 pm to talk through the plan. Vault storage starts from $40 per month. ## Moving into senior living Many communities set days and elevator times for move-ins. Tell the estimator the name of the community, and ask its staff what they require.
