It is 9.8 miles and about 20 minutes from our Sparks warehouse, mainly along the Pyramid Highway. or call [775-359-6683](tel:+17753596683) [4.3 on Google · 71 reviews](https://obriensmoving-storage.com/reviews/) Family owned since 1941 [U.S. DOT No. 30611](https://obriensmoving-storage.com/about/licenses-and-authority/) ## Wingfield Springs and Northeast Sparks by the numbers - Drive from our Sparks warehouse 10 mi, about 20 min via SR 445 - Population 49,544 - Households 18,692 - Homes owned / rented 74.7% / 25.3% - Median year built 2004 - Median home value $588,500 - Moved in the past year 14.5% - Elevation 4,902 ft - County Washoe County - ZIP codes 89436 Figures for ZIP 89436 as a whole. Northeast Sparks grew faster than almost any part of the valley in the 2000s, and ZIP 89436 shows it: nearly 50,000 people, a median home built in 2004 and fewer than 3 percent of homes older than 1980. It is a place of single-family houses on planned streets, many of them with a three-car garage and room for the whole family's belongings. It is also the part of Sparks where a crew's route matters most. ## Big houses on planned streets About 80 percent of homes here are detached houses, the median value is near $588,000 and the median household income is about $114,000. A household that size usually has a full garage, a patio, children's rooms and an office. The estimator walks the house, the garage and the yard so the itemized price covers all of it, and asks about HOA rules on moving trucks and gate codes before the date is set. Renters make up about 25 percent of households, mostly in townhomes and apartment complexes along the main roads. Their moves follow the usual apartment planning: stairs, parking and building rules. See [apartment and condo moves](https://obriensmoving-storage.com/local-moving/apartments-and-condos/). ## The Pyramid Highway run From Glendale Avenue the crew uses city streets and then State Route 445, the Pyramid Highway, for about 3 of the 9.8 miles. The full trip takes about 20 minutes, longer in the evening rush, because the highway is the main road for the whole northeast side. That is the main reason we plan the first load for the morning when we can. ## Winter on the northeast side Wingfield sits near 4,902 feet, about 465 feet above the warehouse, and the Pyramid corridor is among the first Sparks routes to see snow. Check NVRoads before a winter move. The crew covers the entryway, carries pieces in shorter trips and may shift the start to later in the morning once the roads are plowed. ## A neighborhood of recent arrivals and long stays About 27 percent of householders moved in during 2020 or later, and about 14 percent of residents moved in the past year. Some are Californians arriving by Bekins truck, and O'Brien's handles the Nevada end. Others are Sparks families moving up to a larger home; for them a [vault at the warehouse](https://obriensmoving-storage.com/areas/wingfield-springs/storage/) makes the closing dates easier. ## Help with the packing Large homes take time to pack. August 28, 2024 Extremely happy with the moving experience. The moving team showed up on time, friendly and polite. They did a wonderful job moving our boxes and furniture to the new location. We moved a three bedroom home and I could not be more pleased with the employees who assisted with the move. Highly recommend O'Brien moving for your move. ### Owner's reply Michelle, thank you so much for taking the time to write this review. We are so happy to hear about the move experience you had with our company and glad to know we met your expectations! It means a lot to us to know that. Thank you for choosing us as your moving partner. S Sonia P. August 4, 2023 Talk about organized people. I peeked in the truck about an hour into the job and was amazed at how well organized it was and how many of my things had protective coverings. Our bed is a mechanical one and a nightmare to us, but these guys had no issue with it at all. Although I have no desire to ever move again--but if I did, I would be calling these guys for sure!!! ## Get your free, in-home moving estimate An estimator visits, walks through everything and gives you a written, itemized estimate.
