## Inbound: Nevada first

Lyon County sends about 533 people a year (plus or minus 299) and Washoe County about 351 (plus or minus 189). Those two sources send far more than any other single county. The inbound list then reaches Skagit County, Washington (168, plus or minus 210), Stanislaus County, California (117) and Pennington County, South Dakota (92).

Several rows are places with large naval communities: Virginia Beach, Duval County in Florida and Honolulu County. Naval Air Station Fallon is in Churchill County, but the Census data records only the county of origin and not the reason for the move. ## Outbound: Las Vegas leads

Clark County takes about 509 people a year from Churchill County (plus or minus 195), well above the 43 who come from Clark. San Diego County takes about 171 (plus or minus 202), Washoe County about 158, Elko County about 149 and Carson City about 147.

The Washoe pair is a clear net inflow for Churchill: about 351 move from Washoe to Churchill and about 158 move back, a gap of about 193. The Lyon pair is lopsided too, with 533 inbound against 49 outbound.

## Distance and weather

Fallon is 61 miles from the warehouse, and Fernley is 39 miles away on the same I-80 corridor. NOAA's Fallon Experiment Station records an average January high of 46.0 F and low of 20.0 F, a July high of 94.2 F, about 4.77 inches of precipitation and about 4.5 inches of snow a year, the driest of the stations on the weather calendar.
