Every answer here starts with the fact, then points to the page with more detail. ## What a move costs ### How much do movers cost in Reno? It depends on the weight or volume of your goods, the distance, and services such as packing, crating or storage. We give you a written, itemized estimate after an estimator sees what is moving, so you are not guessing. ### Why do long-distance moves cost what they do? Interstate moves are priced mainly by the weight of the shipment and the distance. That is why the estimator walks through every room before writing the estimate. ### What makes a moving bill go up? Items or services added after the estimate, such as an extra room, a piano or extra packing. Tell the estimator about everything that is moving, including the garage and the attic. ### Do you charge for stairs or long carries? Anything that affects your move is covered in your written estimate, so there are no surprises on moving day. ## The estimate ### Is the in-home estimate really free? Yes. Every in-home estimate comes with 10 free heavy-duty moving boxes, yours to keep with no obligation. ### How much does storage cost? Vault storage starts at $40 per month. The number of vaults you need sets the monthly total. ### How can I pay?
