This guide is about planning, not medicine: it shows how to hand the physical work to a crew, how to set the schedule so you rest, and which jobs you can still do from a chair. ## Talk to your doctor first Your doctor, midwife or care team knows your pregnancy. Ask three things: whether you may lift anything at all, how long you may be on your feet, and which travel plans make sense if the move crosses a long distance. Write down the answers and give them to the people helping you. Federal ergonomics guidance, such as the NIOSH lifting equation, is written for the general working population and gives a recommended weight limit of 51 pounds under ideal conditions.
