Older pages on Arkansas.gov state 30 days for both, so if a clerk quotes a shorter registration window, ask which statute applies and bring your Nevada title and proof of insurance to the revenue office to settle it at the counter. ## Taxes: 3.7 percent and a 6.5 percent sales tax A special session in 2026 set the top Arkansas individual income tax rate at 3.7 percent, effective January 1, 2026, down from 3.9 percent in 2025. The state sales and use tax is 6.5 percent, with local taxes added in most cities. Nevada has no personal income tax, so you give up a little of each paycheck. The offset many families cite in Arkansas is housing: the ACS median home value is 188,000 dollars and median gross rent is 947 dollars a month. ## A small flow with wide margins The Census counts about 585 people moving from Nevada to Arkansas in 2024 and about 801 moving the other way, and the margins are large because the sample is small.
