For a driver license, WisDOT says you must apply after establishing residence: within 60 days for a regular license and within 30 days for a Commercial Driver License. Treat the car as a first-week task. Bring the Nevada title, current registration and proof of address, and confirm the document list with WisDOT. ## A wide income tax range Nevada collects no state personal income tax. Wisconsin's marginal rates range from 3.5 percent to 7.65 percent, according to the Legislative Council's 2026 memo. A proposal for a 9.8 percent top bracket in the Governor's budget was not enacted, so the 7.65 percent figure is the top rate. The state sales tax is 5 percent, and counties and some cities add more; Dane County adds 0.5 percent, and the City of Milwaukee adds 2 percent plus a county 0.9 percent.
