About 42.4 percent of Jacksonville households rent. Medians describe areas, not individual homes. With homes priced below Reno, many arrivals plan more space and, as the next section shows, a different relationship with the weather. ## Warm winters, wet summers NOAA's 1991-2020 normals for the Jacksonville Naval Air Station list a January high of 65.5 degrees with a low of 47.2, and a July high of 91.8 with a low of 76.0. Annual precipitation is 47.6 inches, and snow does not register. Reno's January high is 47.7. Summer humidity is the issue for belongings. I peeked in the truck about an hour into the job and was amazed at how well organized it was and how many of my things had protective coverings. Our bed is a mechanical one and a nightmare to us, but these guys had no issue with it at all.
