Give wooden furniture a few days indoors before judging how it sits. ## Virginia's 30 and 60 day deadlines Virginia DMV says you must first title your vehicle within 30 days of moving to Virginia and register it at a customer service center within 30 days. When you move to Virginia you have 60 days to get a Virginia driver's license. Book the appointment before the shipment arrives. Virginia taxes income on a graduated schedule that reaches 5.75 percent on taxable income over $17,000 in the 2025 table. The combined statewide retail sales and use tax is 5.3 percent, a 4.3 percent state tax plus 1 percent local, and some regions add more.
