Keep your Kansas title in your hand, not on the truck, until your Nevada registration is complete. ## Two Kansas income tax rates Kansas has two rates, 5.20 percent and 5.58 percent, with the higher rate applying above $23,000 for single filers and $46,000 for joint filers. The state sales tax is 6.5 percent and local rates add to it. Nevada collects no state personal income tax from wages.
