Here is how the two cities line up on the numbers that change with a move. ## Distance and the Donner Summit crossing The route runs along I-80 for about 124 of its 133.8 miles and crosses Donner Summit at roughly 7,200 feet. The summit is the only real weather variable between the two cities: in winter, chain controls and closures can apply, and in summer the road is fast. Reno averages 47.7 F in January and 93.9 F in July, with 7.35 inches of precipitation and 20.9 inches of snow. I peeked in the truck about an hour into the job and was amazed at how well organized it was and how many of my things had protective coverings. Our bed is a mechanical one and a nightmare to us, but these guys had no issue with it at all.
