Washoe Valley is the farthest of these neighborhoods from the warehouse at 19.9 miles and about 31 minutes, and 93 percent of its homes are owned. O'Brien's crews handle the haul to Sparks, with vault storage from $40 per month.
Washoe Valley lies between Reno and Carson City, with about 3,300 people and 1,300 households. The Census puts the median home at around 1979 and the value near $609,700. Properties are often larger, with outbuildings and long driveways. A valley with that much space has storage needs that run bigger than a typical subdivision, and a drive that makes the crew's single-trip haul worth more.

A longer drive from the yard
At 19.9 miles and 31 minutes, a trip to the warehouse from Washoe Valley is a real commitment. Rather than shuttling loads, the household has one scheduled visit: the crew packs, loads, drives and stacks. The estimator times it around your move date.
Because the trip is long, the plan matters: the estimator counts what is going to storage, what goes to the next home and what can be sold or donated first.
Bigger properties, more to sort
Valley properties with sheds and detached garages hold furniture, tools and equipment. Household goods go into wooden vaults 7 ft x 7 ft x 5 ft; the estimator tells you which items fit that system. Vaults are closed and stacked by forklift in the 30,000 sq ft warehouse at 2277 Glendale Ave.
An inventory lists each vault's contents.
Washoe Valley reasons to store
Selling a larger property and moving into a smaller home
A valley property may have several buildings to clear. Make a short list of what sits in each one, mark the items that travel to storage, and tell the estimator about gates, gravel drives and uneven ground. That list becomes the start of the inventory, and the crew uses it to arrive with the equipment each building calls for.
Delivery when the stay ends
Vaults can return to Washoe Valley, to a home in Carson City or Reno, or to another state through the Bekins network. Tell the estimator which it will be so the written plan covers the return trip as well as the first one.
We were referred to O'Brien's Moving and Storage though a friend in Reno. We couldn't be more pleased with the Professionalism and Service. They were quick to set up Luke to come out and give us a quote and scheduled the actual move date right away. Luke was on time for our quote as were the movers on our moving day. All three of the gentlemen who moved us were professional and courteous from start to finish. From the initial phone call to the completion of our move, we felt like we were treated as family. We would definitely use them again and recommend O'Brien's Moving and Storage to our friends in the future.

3 O'Brien movers came down from Reno to South Lake Tahoe to assist our company moving a lot of big furniture out of a large warehouse. They showed up on-time, were friendly, and were professional and got the job done quickly and diligently. Will definitely use them again.
