Harry and Bernice O'Brien started in a small garage on Sierra Street in Reno. O'Brien's joined the Bekins Van Lines family in 1955, and Sean O'Brien ran the company after the move to Glendale Ave in Sparks. His sons Tim, Luke and Joe are the third generation.

They were quick to set up Luke to come out and give us a quote and scheduled the actual move date right away. Luke was on time for our quote as were the movers on our moving day. How much do movers cost in Reno?
It depends on how much you move, how far, and the services you choose, such as packing or storage. Our free in-home estimate gives you a written, itemized number before anything moves.
Is the in-home estimate really free?
Yes. An O'Brien's estimator visits, walks through everything that is moving and writes up your estimate with no obligation. You also get 10 free heavy-duty boxes, yours to keep.
How does vault storage work?
We pack your things into wooden vaults, 7 ft x 7 ft x 5 ft each, and store them in our Sparks warehouse. Vault storage starts at $40 per month.
Are you licensed?
Yes. We hold U.S. DOT No. 30611 and MC-109375 for interstate moves and Nevada CPCN 1070 for moves within Nevada, and we are an interstate agent for Bekins Van Lines.
Do you move long distance?
Yes. As a Bekins agent since 1955 we move people anywhere in the country through the Bekins network, and we handle the Reno end: estimate, packing, storage and delivery.
How far ahead should I book?
Call as early as you can. For goods in our storage, about 2 to 3 weeks notice is how far ahead we generally book a delivery.
