How to use the inventory builder

1. Add a room. Press Add a room and name it: kitchen, guest bedroom, garage.
2. Set item counts. Use the steppers to count sofas, beds, dressers, boxes and other items in that room.
3. Flag special pieces. Mark fragile, high-value or oversize items so they stand out in the list.
4. Review the list. The total updates below as you work.
5. Print or attach. Print a copy for yourself, or attach the list to your estimate request.

An inventory is one of the most useful documents in a move. It sets what the estimator prices, what the crew loads and what you check off at delivery. Making one at home takes under an hour with this builder, and the result is cleaner than a list scribbled on the back of an envelope.

Why an inventory matters

The estimator sees your home once. The crew on move day sees it again. An inventory written beforehand keeps both visits consistent. Rooms worth listing carefully

Garages and basements hide the most. Tools, shelving, lawn equipment, bikes and seasonal bins add up and are easy to forget. Closets matter too, because a wardrobe box counts as a carton. High-value and fragile pieces

What the builder cannot tell you

It cannot weigh anything and it gives no price. It also cannot replace the in-home visit, where the estimator checks sizes, access, stairs and parking. Think of it as the first draft your estimator will refine with you, and you will end up with a list that matches the home.

The list is saved in your own browser and nowhere else until you press the attach button. Clear your browser data and it is gone. Print a copy if you want to keep it.
