Great company and local. They take great care of your moving needs. They are very accommodating and quick to respond. Highly recommend them for your moving needs and storage needs. Thanks to the O'Brien team for doing a fantastic job.

Type in your move date and choose local, long distance, military, office or storage first, and the generator writes a week-by-week list that counts back from that date. Print it and tick items off as the move gets closer.

A checklist is only useful if it matches your calendar. A generic list says do this four weeks before the move; yours should say do this on a particular Saturday. The generator takes your move date, subtracts the weeks and gives each task a real date, with extra steps if kids, pets or a move into Nevada are involved.

The list counts backward from the move date. Early weeks cover tasks with long lead times: choosing a mover, sorting belongings and gathering records. Middle weeks cover packing, address changes and utilities. The final days cover the first-night box, a walk-through and the details of move day. The longer your runway, the more the list spreads out; a tight timeline compresses it into fewer, busier days.
A local move leans on truck booking, packing and utilities. A long-distance move adds an inventory, shipment details and a delivery window that comes from your written estimate. A military move adds orders and a call to the installation transportation office. An office move adds staff notices and IT cutover. A storage-first move adds the vault count and the weeks of notice needed to ship stored goods. For the long-form explanation, read the 8-week moving checklist or the long-distance moving checklist.
It cannot know your lease end date, your school calendar, your employer's relocation rules or the elevator reservation at your building. Add those to the list by hand. It also gives no costs, because the cost of a move comes from your written estimate, not from a checklist.
Book the free in-home estimate early in the list. That visit gives you a written, itemized figure, and you also receive 10 free heavy-duty boxes. With that in hand, the rest of the checklist is about sorting, packing and paperwork. The change-of-address checklist covers the mail and accounts you will want to update, and the moving timeline shows how the weeks stack up.

Both movers were courteous, efficient and very carful with my furniture. Also, talking with Janet over the phone was a pleasure.

The two employees showed up on time and were very polite and ready to work. Our quote was 8 hours and they finished in 5 hours. Office staff checked in prior to move and confirmed all details and check in after move to make sure everything was taken care of. Would use this company again for sure!
Laurie, Thank you for the awesome review! We are glad to hear everything went smoothly, and you were satisfied with the service. We want to also thank you for your business we appreciate you!
