Big houses, several floors

Mountain roads and winter
The road from Sparks climbs over Mt. Rose, and winter weather can change travel plans. The National Weather Service forecast office in Reno posts mountain conditions. Packing days are scheduled around the forecast, and the crew protects entries and floors in wet or snowy weather.
