Packing services in Kings Beach

Kings Beach has about 2,700 residents and 1,100 households, and about 63 percent of homes are owner-occupied. Of roughly 2,170 homes, about 940 have three bedrooms, about 580 have two and about 230 have one, and about 44 percent of housing units are seasonal.

Compact rooms, full cupboards

Seasonal households

Because many homes are seasonal, some packs are for closing up for the winter or selling a second home. Items that will not travel go into vaults in the Sparks warehouse, with vault storage from $40 per month. See vault storage.

From Sparks to the north shore

Kings Beach is about 45 miles and 59 minutes from the warehouse, via I-80 and CA-267. Winter weather can affect travel, and the National Weather Service forecast office in Reno posts conditions. Boxes and supplies are sold at the Sparks office, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.

Before packing day

Clear a path from the door to the truck, set aside anything you plan to carry yourself and tell the estimator about parking limits on your street. Keep a bag of daily items aside, such as medicine, chargers and keys. The crew packs what the estimate lists, and the estimator can add or remove rooms at the in-home visit.
