A ten-day registration clock

The Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles department says to title and register your vehicles within 10 days of establishing residency, and to obtain a Florida driver license within 30 days. Triggers include taking a job, enrolling a child in public school or establishing residency otherwise.

No income tax on either side

The Florida Department of Revenue says the state does not impose a personal income, inheritance or gift tax. Nevada does not tax wages either, so your paycheck should look familiar. The state sales tax is 6 percent and counties add a discretionary surtax of up to 2.5 percent.
