Stead, at the north end, grew around the old air base and now includes the airport's industrial neighbors and new subdivisions. This is a place of family homes, two-car garages and commuters who use I-580.

Family homes, long stays
About 71 percent of households own, and the median home was built in 1999. About 12 percent of residents moved in the past year, one of the lowest turnover rates among Reno ZIP codes. Higher and windier than Sparks
Stead sits near 5,061 feet, about 620 feet above the warehouse, and the open valley floor gets wind. Snow lands earlier here, and gravel driveways can turn to mud in a thaw. The crew lays runners, closes doors between trips and adjusts the load order when weather turns. If you can, move the cars off the street so the truck can park close.

The two employees showed up on time and were very polite and ready to work. Our quote was 8 hours and they finished in 5 hours. Office staff checked in prior to move and confirmed all details and check in after move to make sure everything was taken care of. Would use this company again for sure!
